Oct 6, 2019 – Dr. Michael Rose, the biologist who led the development of the “Methuselah Flies” (and literally wrote the book on the subject), was recently awarded the first ever Bacon Prize for Thought Leadership in Super Longevity by the Coalition for Radical Life Extension.
This award was given in October as part of the organization’s annual “RAADfest” and is named after Sir Francis Bacon. Dr. Michael Rose has dedicated his life to longevity research and evolutionary biology.
One of Dr. Rose’s many accomplishments is the development of the long-lived Methuselah Flies and publication of the book by the same name. This research is the cornerstone of the discoveries and clinical trials that have resulted in the identification of the patented formula on which Geneaire ReBuilder™ is based.
We congratulate Dr. Rose on his award and can’t wait to see what he discovers next!

Nov 12, 2018 – UCI’s Dr. Shankle discusses the findings of over 4 years of Research and Trials on the Treatment of Early Stage Alzheimer’s Disease
The LA Times reported on a recent presentation given by Dr. William Shankle to about 60 community members at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. Dr. Shankle is a neurologist and program director of the Memory and Cognitive Disorders at the Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute at Hoag Hospital. He also co-founded the Alzheimer’s Research Center at UC Irvine and ran the 2-year Independent Clinical Trial on the Geneaire ReBuilder™ formula as part of that research.
“They presented the first trials that show if you identify people early who have the first molecule that accumulates in Alzheimer’s — amyloids — then you put them on treatments that remove that amyloid from the brain,” Shankle said. “It removes about 50 to 75% of all the amyloid in the brain. They have now followed those people for over four years, and they are continuing to show functional improvement.”
Dr. Shankle has been recommending the Geneaire ReBuilder™ formula as part of his treatment regimen for his patients, many of whom have been participating in the program for nearly 5 years and continue to purchase the product for daily use.
The full LA Times Report is part of its Daily Pilot series and can be read online here.

March 25, 2019 – New Study finds old brains are still able to make neurons, making the brain capable of regeneration even in older patients with age-related disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s
The online magazine STAT reviewed a recent research report from in its latest Science and Discovery section.
The research, published in Nature Medicine, supported the theory that human grey matter is capable of generating new neurons at up to 90 years of age.
The report also found that brains from elderly people without dementia have much higher rates of such neurogenesis than do the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease. This also appears to support the conclusion that products like Geneaire ReBuilder™ that support active brain function during later years can also resist deterioration due to aging.

February 11, 2019 – FDA takes action against 17 companies for illegally selling products claiming to treat Alzheimer’s disease
The FDA released the fact that it had issued warning and advisory letters to 17 companies which it has determined are making unsubstantiated claims about their supplement products’ abilities to treat or cure serious diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer and opioid addition.
“The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today posted 12 warning letters and 5 online advisory letters issued to foreign and domestic companies that are illegally selling more than 58 products, many that are sold as dietary supplements, which are unapproved new drugs and/or misbranded drugs that claim to prevent, treat or cure Alzheimer’s disease and a number of other serious diseases and health conditions. These products, which are often sold on websites and social media platforms, have not been reviewed by the FDA and are not proven safe and effective to treat the diseases and health conditions they claim to treat. These products may be ineffective, unsafe and could prevent a person from seeking an appropriate diagnosis and treatment.”

February 11, 2019 – Statement from FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, M.D., on the agency’s new efforts to strengthen regulation of dietary supplements by modernizing and reforming FDA’s oversight
The FDA announced a new policy plan for the regulation of dietary supplements. The FDA’s priorities, as defined in the Statement, are:
- Ensuring public safety – protecting consumers from harmful products and/or ingredients
- Ensuring product integrity – making sure products contain the ingredients that they are labeled to contain, and manufactured to consistent quality standards
- To enable informed decision making – fostering an environment where consumers and healthcare professionals are able to make informed decisions before recommending, purchasing or using dietary supplements.
To achieve these goals, Commissioner Scott Gottlieb announced his intention to introduce a number of new policies and communication tools, including a new rapid-response alert system so consumers can avoid buying or using products with harmful ingredients, and to notify responsible industry participants to avoid making or selling them.
